Abstract

11 j 13 This study aims to determine, (1) how utilization of SAT in the Central Library Of Sebelas Maret University Surakarta, (2) To know the constraints faced by users Service utilization SAT. The results of this research can be input for the organizers at the Central Library Of Sebelas Maret University Surakarta. To obtain complete and valid data, the authors used multiple data collection methods, including methods of documentation, interviews, questionnaires, observation, and data analysis techniques using the formula mean. The population of this study are members of SAT in the Central Library Of Sebelas Maret University Surakarta which amounts to 3890. Samples taken by 97 respondents, sampling using Yamane formula. This study included type of survey research with quantitative descriptive approach. Test the validity of using the formula Product Moment and reliability testing using Cronbach alpha formula. Testing validity and reliability using the help of SPSS 17 for windows. Data analysis using quantitative descriptive analysis with the formula mean. Research indicates that the value is 3.78 SAT service utilization is high. In detail showed that (1) factors needs, the average value of 4.01 is high. (2) Factors Motif, work for entire world average of 3.93 is high. (3) Factors Interests, the average value of 3.93 is high. (4) Completion factor devices SAT Service, the average value of 3.26 was considered. (5) Library Officer Skills factor, the average value of 3.69 is high. (6) Availability Factor search facilities, the average value of 3.88 is high. Constraints faced by users of the Service SAT is the number of computers that are still lacking, some computers whose condition less than the maximum, then the sometimes slow internet access. According to the study authors suggest, that service should increase the number of computers SAT and increase bandwidth internet connection. Additionally SAT organizers should immediately repair service and always upgrade computer components as well as more explanations detailing the features of the Service using SAT
