Abstract

Borobudur Tempel as one of Indonesian cultural heritage which is registered ini UNESCO world heritage site of culture with no 592 on December 13th, 1991 after having 3 qualification in out standing universal value. As a world heritage, Borobudur Tempel which is managed by PT. Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan dan Ratu Boko in tourism activities become a tourism attraction with a large number of visitors both domestic and foreigen countries. Basicly, every company can’t avoid crisis. A company that is aware to the negative effect of crisis will prepare management crisis as a prevention. The company even has a chance to change the crisis to be a chance to get sympathy from the public. Eruption of Merapi mounth on October 26th, 2010 give an extraordinary effect to the tourism activity in Yogyakarta, belong to Borobudur which is located about 17 miles from Merapi cauldron is affected by vulcanic dust, about 3 cm thick. Therefore, this research was done to know about Management Crisis of PT. Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan dan Ratu Boko in conservating of Borobudur tempel as World Heritage. The aim of this research is to know the management crisis of PT. Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan dan Ratu Boko in conservating world heritage after Merapi eruption heppened on October 26th, 2010. The research methode which is used by the writer in this writing is qualitative by the descriptive type, a research to make a description as a sistematic, factual and acurate about facts and characters of certain object. To support the methode, the tecnic of collecting data which is used is literatur and observation, to get primer data that is interview, document and observation. The result of research shows that crisis which is happened in PT. Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan dan Ratu Boko as sudden crisis caused by the eruption of Merapi. Crisis PT. Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan dan Ratu Boko is in an acute level destroyed Borobudur tempel by vulcanic dust, management activity of Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur stopped, and also stopped the economic activity of people around Borobudur. Management crisis which done by PT. Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan dan Ratu Boko pasca eruption start from pra crisis, job description although it hasn’t been from of management crisis team yet, prepare a spoken person and massage crisis. Crisis respond which is done when the eruption happened is quick respond that take an action of closing and cleaning soon. And pasca crisis, where the company get a crisis experience so it is need to heve a mitigation of disaster.
