Abstract

One's religiousity or faith and his or her religious attitude or behavior is in many cases being heavily influenced by his or her enviroment or social system underlying his or her existence. This similarly goes for religiosity and religious attitude or behavior of a community. It means when a community or, say, togetherness is being based on one religious value and teaching, the faith of each member of the community will be strong and solid. Therefore, when the opposite condition happens, the faith of the members will consequently be weak and meek. We put here one specific example happens at Karbol Akademi Angkatan Udara —Indonesian Air Force Cadet Academy— of Yogyakarta where the cadets are taught to live together with other religious believers in the spirit of tolerance and pluralism so that they may be able to keep the spirit of unity as one nation and state. This way of living, unconsciously, effects in trivialization of religious faithfulness.
