Abstract

This study was aimed to find factors causing the happening of conversion process related to people's nuptials and describe the religious growth of people who converte to Islam and also factors influencing it. The result of this study is expected to be a basis for construct the Islam society specially those who have experienced the religions conversion. The result of this study has showed: Firstly, the process of conversion done by two people based on circumstantial love feeling which ends at nuptials eventually; secondly, there is different level of the religious growth of the two converts, especially related to the religious services which are fundamental in character such as shalat and fasting and commitment to the new religion. However, related to the religious understanding level, they were still in low level; thirdly, factors influencing level of growth of religious convertion for example: 1) factor of intention or willingness in doing conversion process, 2) family factor especially husband, and 3) societal factor
