Abstract

The objective ofthis research is to explore the concept ofIslamic education based on the Prophetic Hadith perspective, to examine the authenticity of hadiths and to interpret them property. This research is very important, because, on the one hand, the study ofeducation on the basis oftheprophetic has not yet represented the concept and theory on Islamic education of the prophetic hadith. On the other hand, the hadiths do not elaborate the aspects ofeducational values. The research result in this studyshows three concepts oftheIslamic education which in consist ofthe concept ofbuman development, physical education, and life long education. At the same time, it is also evident that theprophetic hadith related to the concept ofhuman development is authentic or reliable hadith (sahih); and two hadiths concerning the concept ofphysical education and life long education are weak (da 'iJ).
