Abstract

This article is trying to elaborate Amin Abdullah's and Khaled Abou el Fadl's thoughts on applied Islamology. Base on hermeneutic point of view, they argue that Islam could not be separated from the humanistic problems of time and space. Therefore, Islam should be reinterpreted along with social changes. In their opinions.the hermeneutic approach should be able to demonstrate Islam in its pure spirits: liberal, humanistic, and progressive which finally could support the growth and the development of the welfare ofmandkind in the word.
