Abstract

This research aimed to 1) obtain a Worksheet Students (LKPD) problem based on the subject of the kinetic theory of gases can increase the quality through a process of development, 2) increase determine high order thinking skills for XI science grade SMA/MA students after using the developed product and 3) determine the students questionnaire and after using the developed product. This study is a research and development (R & D) that adapted Borg and Gall with is limited until the product tryout process and using pre-experimental designs (non designs) method type one-group pretest-posttest designs to test the product developed. The tryout subject in this research are 32 students of XI science 1 grade in MA Khozinatul ‘Ulum Blora. The techniques of collecting data include questionnaires for experts (material experts, media experts, and physics SMA/MA teachers) to assess developed product, tests to determine the increase of students is high other thinking skill, and questionnaires to determine the students is response to problem-based LKPD. Based on the data analyzed of test results using N-gain test obtained the increase of students is high order thinking skill is 0.47 (medium category) and the analysis using paired t-test obtained to count is 10.842 greater than t table (10.842>2.000), it means there’s difference in students is high other thinking skill before and after using LKPD developed. Based on product assessment questionnaires data analysis and students is response questionnaires conclude that the quality of product according to material experts, media experts and physics SMA/MA teachers is very good with ideal percentages respectively 89.20%, 91.67% and 85.09% and students is response to LKPD are strongly agree.
