NEGERI 1 YOGYAKARTAThe purpose of this study is to find out how the movement of school literacy and
its impact on the development of the extraordinary school library 1 Yogyakarta, as
well as to know the obstacles faced by the library in running the school literacy
movement.
This research uses descriptive qualitative method. The data source consists of
primary and secondary data sources. Primary data sources in this study amounted
to four informants. While the secondary data source consists of documentation or
archive in the field.
The benefits of this research is as a new knowledge for the author, and as a
reference to further researchers and as a consideration for the SLBN 1 Yogyakarta
in managing the library.
Based on the results of research conducted, found the results that the
implementation of the school literacy movement has begun in 2016 after the
school following the socialization of the ministry of education and culture,
literacy movement includes reading fiction before starting the lesson for 15
minutes. However, for students with special needs the reading activity is limited
to seven minutes before the lesson, mid-class and the end of the lesson.
Movement of literacy impact on library development in the form of three corner
of read and one information board. The book that is served in a corner reading
cabinet is a book belonging to the school library. Although the impact on library
development, the library faces obstacles in the form has not been able to
overcome the low interest in reading and interest visit to the library. As well as
collections donated by the government include collections that are inconsistent
