users, know about theinterest invisiting, know about the influence ofthe attitude
GadjahMadaUniversity (GMU) Yogyakarta. This study include quantitative
research. Methods used in this study among others, observation, interviews,
questionnaires, and documentation. Variable used were the independent variables
(attitude of the librarian) and dependent variables (interest invisiting). The
sampling were using simple random sampling, with a sample of 90 respondents.
Methods of analysis using correlation analysis techniques. Data were processed
using SPSS version 16 for windows software.The results showedthat theinfluence
ofgenerallyattitude ofthe librarianwiththegrandmean of2.97, and interests
ofusersgenerallybeengoodwith thegrandmeanvalue of3.22. Next isapositiveand
significantinfluenceoflibrarianattitudestowardsvisitinguserinterestinthe Faculty.
From the resultsthat themagnitude ofthe correlation coefficientof
correlationbetween thevariablesattitudeandinterest invisitingthe
librarystaffuserisat0.548. Because thecountr˃tableatsignificant level5% (0.207)
andsignificant levelof 1%(.270), itis saida significantcorrelation. From the results
ofhypothesis testing, then the hypothesisHais accepted,whichmeansthere is
influencebetweenlibrariansattitudestowardsuserinterestsinthe
FacultyvisitYogyakarta. Referring to theresultsas for thesuggestion(1)the
librarianshouldfurther improve theattitude of serviceis good(2)the
librarianshouldprovide comfortto anyuserwhovisited the libraryboth
infindinginformationanda warm welcome fromthe librarian. (3)For the library
should conduct training for library staff how to serve users
