attention. The group who tries to establish country is extensively reported by
many mass media, the only mass media is kind of media reports the Islamic State
of Iraq and Suriah (ISIS) massively, online media is known as the balancing of the
maintreem media. Kompas.com is the the biggest newcast in Indonesia. The result
of convergence of kompas daily news. Kompas’ news is update fastly. It can be
accesed easily and gives many useful fiture. The information about Islamic State
of Iraq and Suriah (ISIS) can be accesed easily in the gate of kompas news.
The movement of Islamic State of Iraq and Suriah (ISIS) actually can be studied
using several dicipliner. One of them is communication science, communications
studies mostly focuse on media as the facility to spreas the information about
Islamic State of Iraq and Suriah (ISIS). The discourse about Islamic State of Iraq
and Suriah (ISIS) group in online media becomes the object of this research by
using the critical discourse analysis theory by Theo van Leeuwen who tries to
discover the position of a group in discourse. This is the quantitative research.
This research try to analyze the Islamic State of Iraq and Suriah (ISIS) news
around 1-7 march 2015. And the discuss them using the relate theory and create a
conclusion about the discourse of Islamic State of Iraq and Suriah (ISIS)
movement.
