UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA YOGYAKARTA
The purpose of this research is to know user’s perception towards
interpersonal skill librarian of the public service at The Library of State Islamic
University Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. This research uses a quantitative
descriptive method. The subject of this research is the users of the library and the
object is the perception towards interpersonal skill librarian of the public service
at The Library of State Islamic University Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. Population
of the research is the users of the library numbering at 20.873 people. Samples
taken from the population based on Yamane formula, at 100 persons with the
accidental sampling method. The Variable is the use of interpersonal skill
librarian of the public service at The Library of State Islamic University Sunan
Kalijaga Yogyakarta. The Method and technique used in data collection methods
of observation, documentation, interview and questionnaire. The data were
analysed by using a quantitative descriptive approach. Measuring the effectivity
on Likert (4-1), who interpretation of the results to be very good, good, poor and
very poor. The results showed that the perception toward interpersonal skill
librarian of the public service at The Library of State Islamic University Sunan
Kalijaga Yogyakarta is good and has met the needs of users with average value of
2.90. It is suggested that librarians Library Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta of State
Islamic University to further improve services in terms of interpersonal skills,
especially the ability of entrepreneurship.
