SISWA BOARDING SCHOOL DI SMP ISLAM TERPADU ABU BAKAR
YOGYAKARTAThe aims of this paper is to determine the relationship between intensity of
reciting Holy Qur'an and conscientiousness personality tendencies on students
junior high boarding school Abu Bakar in Yogyakarta. The population in this
research were 126 students who sit in eighth grade at the boarding school
program.
This study uses quantitative methods to scale as a means of collecting
data. The scale used is the tendency of personality Conscientiousness scale and
intensity scale reading the Holy Qur'an. Data analysis using SPSS 16.0 for
Windows by using Spearman's rho correlation analysis, the correlation coefficient
(r xy) 0.575 with p = 0.000 (p <0.05).
These results indicate that there is a significant positive relationship
between the intensity of reading the Quran with conscientiousness personality
tendencies at Islamic Junior high school Abu Bakar Yogyakarta. The higher the
intensity of recite the Holy Qur'an, then there is a higher tendency
Conscientiousness personality tendencies in students means the researcher‟s
hypothesis is accepted. The effective contribution of the relationship between the
intensity of the reading of the Qur'an with conscientiousness personality
tendencies in Junior High School Abu Bakar Yogyakarta amounted to 38.3% can
