Sleman. Research subjects in this study were students of junior high school state 2
Sleman.Sampling of this study using purposive sampling technique to sample
characteristics, is male and female eight grade
This study, using quantitative research method using the scale as a measure
of her. The first scale is Cheating Behavior, the second scale is Self-Esteem and
third scale is School Climate.
The results showed that no significant negative relationship between selfesteem
and school climate together with the cheating behaviour in junior high
school students state 2 Sleman. Based on these results the hypothesis proposed in
this study is not acceptable. The results of this study also showed that the
predictors that influence cheating behaviour is self-esteem, while the climate of
the school is included in the predictor has no effect on cheating behavior.
Effective Contribution of self-esteem to the cheating behaviour of 6.5%, 93.5%
which means there are other factors that affect the appearance of cheating
behaviour that can be dug deeper. The Results of partial correlations between
self-esteem by cheating behavior also showed a significant negative correlation (r
partial = -0, 254, p = 0.004). This suggests that there is a significant negative
relationship between self-esteem with cheating behaviour. Self-esteem is an
