the long term and highly pressure,which is characterized by emotional exhaustion,
depersonalization, and decreasing of self achievement that result in form offeeling
detached by individual from their environment.
This study aims to determine correlation between negative working
conditions and burnout toshelter guards. The independent variable used in this
study is a negative working conditions, and the dependent variable is burnout.
The population in this study is theshelter guardsof TransJogja with shelter
characteristics having a high passenger traffic, in which were taken 30 shelters
with the number of 68 guards were being participatedas the study sample. Data
collection methodsin this study using a scale of Burnout anda scale of Negative
Working Conditions and all of data were analyzed using statistical analysis
through SPSS 16.0 for windows.
Quantitative data were analyzed usingproduct moment. The result
indicates that there is a significant positive correlation between Negative Working
Conditions with Burnout for shelter guards. Result of the data
analysishowscorrelation coefficient with 0.547of rand with 0.000 (p <0,05) of p.
This means that there is a significant correlation between the negative working
conditions with symptoms of burnout to shelter guards, in whichif the higher
negative effect of working conditions exists, then the higher burnout symptoms
appears to shelter guards. Conversely, ifthe lower influence of negative working
conditions exists influenced to the lower the symptoms of burnout to shelter
