Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between self-concept and self-efficacy with cheating behavior. The hypothesis that proposed in this study there is a negative relationship between self-concept and self-efficacy with cheating behavior. The Research methods is quantitative methods by data collection tools such as scales self-concept, self-efficacy and cheating behavior. The sampling technique used purposive sampling at student grade X of SMA Negeri “X” as many as 58 students. Test instrument reliability test with an alpha value (α) for the self-concept scale is 0.897, self-efficacy scale was 0.948 and scale cheating behavior 0.972. The data Analysis used regretion analysis with assistance the SPSS 16.00 for Windows program. The study results showed that 1) There is a negative relationship between self-concept with cheating behavior, evidenced by the correlation coefficient (rx1y) is negative, namely -0.564 and significance level (p) of 0.000 (p 0.05). 2) There is a negative relationship between self-efficacy with cheating behavior has a correlation coefficient (rx2y) of -0.554 with a significance level (p) of 0.000 (p <0.05). Based on these results the hypothesis is accepted, it means there is a negative relationship between selfconcept and self efficacy with cheating behavior. The large Effective contribution is showed by the value of R square change self concept 31,8% and self-efficacy 7%. The large relative contribution is showed by the value of R suare (R2)that is 0.388 means of self-concept and self-efficacy affect cheating behavior of 38.8% the balance is influenced by other factors that not examined.
