Abstract

This research aims to test the correlation between hardiness personality and entrepreneurial intention. Subject of this research were 39 (N=39) vocational students from class XII of marketing department of vocational high school (Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan) Koperasi Yogyakarta. Data were collected using hardiness personality scale and entrepreneurial intention scale. The method of the data analysis used a correlation technique of Pearson’s product moment using program SPSS 16.00 for windows. Result indicate that there are positive and significant correlation between hardiness personality and entrepreneurial intention with correlation coefficient (rxy) = 0.561 p = 0.000 (p < 0.05). This means that hypothesis was accepted. The higher hardiness personality was, the higher entrepreneurial intention in the vocational students of marketing departement of vocational high school (Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan) Koperasi Yogyakarta was as well. Rather, the lower hardiness personality of the students was, the lower their entrepreneurial intention was too. The result of correlation test showed that R Square = 0.315, which means that hardiness personality influences entrepreneurial intention percentage by 31.5% while 68.5% is influenced by other factor.
