Abstract

Development and use of technology began to emerge in the year 1970 were marked by the computer and telecommunications. The use of technology in the year 2000 has become the norm for modern society, both for the individual man, as well as education and the world of work, one of them at the institute library, so that it becomes a challenge for librarians. In the library, information technology is becoming more sophisticated, always was renewed, librarians are required to follow the developments, especially that the library is an integral part of information services. The birth of software libraries, application support, database input system, information management, pengolaha repository, and other information technology development, makes librarian often experience anxiety and discomfort because of the technology, it will cause symptoms technostress. This paper describes about the symptoms of stress, stress crimes, technostress, the implications of technology in libraries, and technostress for librarians.
