Abstract

Islamic banking has reached a fairly rapid growth but with total customers still lagging behind by conventional banking, syariah banking can not yet talk much for the national economy, whereas if viewed from the population, the people of Indonesia is a country with the largest Muslim population in the world. Based on the blueprint for the development of national sharia banking from Bank Indonesia, the target of sharia banking market share is 5%, but until 2016 the market share of 5% has not been achieved. This study aims to explain the influence of accessibility and consumer behavior towards the interest of saving sharia-based society. Independent variables used are accessibility and consumer behavior. This research was conducted on D.I.Yogyakarta society. The method of analysis in this research is multiple regression analysis. From the results of this study can be concluded that the variable accessibility of urban communities and rural communities have no significant effect on the interest of saving syariah savings with tcount <ttabel (-1.079 <2.010) and tcount <ttable (-1,608 <2.010). While for consumer behavior variable for urban society and rural community equally have significant effect to interest of saving is syariah with tcount <ttable (4,174> 2,010) and tcount <ttable (5,578> 2,010). For the comparisons together there is no difference in the effect of aksebsibilitas and consumer behavior on interest in saving syariah savings between urban communities and rural communities.
