Abstract

The extraordinary school teachers has an important role in education for students with barries to the development of mental and intellegence. Condition of stress experienced by extraordinary school teachers to teached and educated to students. Extraordinary school teachers has done coping stress to controlled the emotional response toward any stressor, that called by emotional focused coping. The purpose of this research is understanding the process and the dynamics of emotion focused coping in managed stress for extraordinary school teachers. This research used qualitative methods with phenomenological approach to understanding the realized experience on process of emotion focused coping. The number of informants in this research is three person who teached in extraordinary school and choosen by puposive sampling technic. The result of this research indicate truly emotion focused coping is a process of effort have an important role in managed stress at extraordinary school teachers. The process of emotion focused coping in this research grouped in 4 periods tha is conflict period, adaptation period, acceptance period, and meaning period. Emotion focused coping has done by extraordinary school teachers driven by some factors and come some impacts for extraordinary school teachers.
