Abstract

The background of this research is the phenomenon of urban villages that enter tourism areas in Yogyakarta. Lack of interest in adolescents in the study of religion around them and related to adolescents who enter the phase of identity searching. This study aims to obtain valid (reliable) and reliable (trustworthy) empirical data on fostering youth religiosity in maintaining national and state tolerance.This research was carried out in Sosromenduran Sub-district, Kec. Gedong Tengen of Yogyagarta City with code number 34.71.05.01 with postal code 5527.This research is a field research that is qualitative, namely a research procedure that produces descriptive data in the form of written or oral words from people and observable behavior.The data analysis technique used is the analysis using percentages used to describe the results of the study. The results of the study show that the development of adolescent religiosity is carried out by parents including; giving advice, getting used to prayer 5 times, instilling good character, inviting and setting a good example, giving attention in the form of reward, and instilling shame and fear of doing evil. As for fostering youth religiosity by community leaders, including; monthly recitation every second week in each month, takbir keliling (Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha), opening together at the same time Orphans and poor people, holding a village hadroh team for teenagers, band groups for teenagers and adults, regional art groups, involving youth as the organizing committee, Youth and parents workshop, and village birthday celebration.Then from the local government, including; Flexible recitation, TPA study every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, JBM, night watch that involves teenagers on Saturday nights, and community service every Tuesday. Sosromenduran adolescent religiosity is quite good, this can be felt by the writer when in the area. Following the TPA recitation, workshop, and activities of youth mosque organizations and youth clubs are a series of activities that adolescents usually follow in their daily life.Teenagers also provide coolness and be polite towards newcomers, and older people.As for fostering youth religiosity in maintaining tolerance for the nation and state, including mobile takbir (Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha), monthly recitation, opening together and giving orphans and poor people, involving youth as the organizing committee for celebrating Islamic holidays and national holidays (Irmas and Karang Taruna), the celebration of the village birthday, community service every Tuesday wage, saresehan. This can be seen from the efforts of parents and society in maintaining tolerance of the nation and state through religiosity formation activities.
