Abstract

The students of MAN 2 Sleman is still lack of self-learning instruments such as braille module especially for the material of straight motion. In the form of braille modules, especially in straight motion material. Based on this fact, its important to have learning instruments in which designed for sightless students in the inclussive class that is physic module that based on REACT of straight motion. The experiment that had been done is purposed to : (1) Produce a physic module for the sightless students of MAN 2 at grade X as the source of self-learning, (2) Find out the quality of braille module that has been developed the module was assessed for quality by material experts, media experts and inclusion teacher, and (3) Find out the responses from the students through the development of braille module. This research is an R & D research with a procedural model that adapts from the development of 4-D model devices, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. The research instrument is a module quality questionnaire which uses a likert scale which is made in the from of a checklist. The instrument for students is in the form of questionnaire responses of students that is using the Guttman scale which is made in the form of a checklist. The results of the study of braille physics modules based on expert judgment are included in the category (B) with a breakdown of average scores according to material experts 3,12; according to media experts 2,77; and inclusion teacher MAN 2 Sleman 3,80. Student responses to physics braille modules in limited trials included in the agreed category (S) with an average score 0,66. In the broad trial, students provided input that there were some mathematical symbols that students could not read.
