Abstract

This research aims to describe the midlelife crisis experienced by husewives who do not work. The informants consisted of two midle-aged adult housewives who do not work. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data collection techniques use observation method and unstucrured interview with data analysis techniques wich consist from data reduction stages, data presentation,and conclusion. The result of research show different crisis experienced by informants one and two. Informant one experienced a post-departure crisis from children in the form of feeling of loneliness, anxiety and inferiority. While informant two experienced dissatisfaction with children and partner. Informant one got success to pass the crisis and achieved generativity while informant two got the failed to pass the crisis and stagnant. The factor which influence to get success in passing a crisis are: how individuals respond to crisis, spirituality and the role of the closest people.
