Abstract

Montessori learning model is learning that gives freedom to children in using all their potential. As Muslims, this freedom must have rules based on Islam. Budi Mulia Dua is one of the institutions that use the Montessori learning model. However, competition among kindergarten institutions requires so many different selling points. Therefore, Budi Mulia Dua applies the Montessori model by combining Islamic education which is the basis of the Budi Mulia Dua with the Montessori learning model. This research was conducted to determine the implementation of the Montessori model based on Islamic education. Children need education that creates an environment to develop the character of the children. Since the children have blown by the spirit in the womb, they have already known that God is God. Therefore, the environment since he was born must return the nature with Islamic education. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data collected through interviews, documentation and observation. Techniques used in data analysis are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Furthermore, to determine the validity of the data using triangulation with a variety of different data collection techniques to get data from the same source, the results showed that (1) the basis of the application of Islamic Montessori in Budi Mulia Dua is the theological basis and the basis of branding, (2) the implementation of the Montessori learning model with Islamic education is done by integrating Islamic values in all Montessori activities and religious activities that are connected with the Montessori concept based on three activities namely faith, Islam and morals, (3) the results have been in accordance with the level of achievement of child development with the level of ability to work on i.e. the children have increased religious ability during the Budi Mulia Dua Islamic Montessori Kindergarten with the application of Montessori activities that are integrated in Islamic values and Islamic activities associated with the Montessori concept.
