Abstract

ASEAN is an organization formed to create economic growth in southeast Asia. In conducting economic developmet it takes a relatively large fund. ASEAN member countries majority are developing countries, where developing countries have no source of domestic funds sufficient for development capital. Therefore, countries in ASEAN need external capital to do economic development of foreign debt. The research aims to determine the affect of economic growth on foreign debt in ASEAN. The variables used in this study are GDP, Investation, Inflation and exchange rate. The data used in this study is annual data during the 2000-2017 period obtained from the World Bank, Asian Development Bank. The data analysis techniques used in this study use the Fixed Effect Model method that is processed with the EViews 10. The results of this study showed that the GDP, investation and exchange rate went on a positive and significant impact on foreign debt. While inflation have no effect on foreign debt
