Abstract

This research was a character study with Lasa Hs as the research subject. This research aims to determine (1) the contributions of Lasa HS to librarianshipin Indonesia (2) the impact of the contribution of Lasa Hs to librarianship in Indonesia. This approach of this study was quantitative descriptive. Data collection was done through semi-structured interviews and documentation. The obtained data were analyzedby the interactive model analysis technique of Miles and Huberman which consists of three stages, namely: data reduction, daa presentation, data verification and conclusion drawing. Based on this research, two conclusions were obtained, namely: (1) The contribution of Lasa Hs to librarianship in Indonesia is divided into four, namely : Establishing a professional librarian organization, Forming a Library Standard that is divided into two, namely Muhammadiyah-‘Aisiyah University Library Standards and National Library Standards (SNP 007,008,009:2011), making technical guidelines or instructions in managing library, and taking part in the establishment of the LibraryScience study program in the University Islamic State Sunan Kalijaga. (2) The impact of Lasa Hs’ contributions to librarianship in Indonesia is divide into four, namely: Development of Muhammadiyah School Libraries, Producing superior and accomplished librarians, Increasing Libraries of Muhammadiyah-‘Aisiyah Higher Education, facilitating library managers in managing libraries
