Abstract

This study aims to determine how the effect of minimum wages, GRDP, and total population on the absorption rate of labor in the construction sector in 35 districts / cities of Central Java Province in 2014-2018. This research is a quantitative study using panel data. Time series data used in this study were 2014-2018 and cross section data in this study were 35 districts / cities in Central Java Province. The type of data used in this study is secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The analysis method used is the panel data regression analysis method with the best model, namely the random effect model using Eviews 10 software. The results of this study show that the minimum wage variable and the population variable have a positive effect on labor absorption, while the GRDP variable has a negative effect on labor absorption. construction work in 35 Regencies / Cities in Central Java Province in 2014-2018.
