Abstract

The tourism sector is a sector that has the potential to be developed in various countries including Indonesia. A well-managed tourism sector can affect the progress of an area. Thus, one of the provinces that is aggressively advancing the tourism sector is Central Java. Focusing on how to rely on regional potential so that Central Java can attract tourists. The purpose of this study is to find out how the influence of the tourism sector on the welfare of the community is measured using per capita GRDP. The variables used are the number of tourist visits, the tourism sector workforce, the average length of stay of guests, the number of restaurants and restaurants, and Tourism PAD. This study used quantitative regression analysis using panel data methods and the data processing tools used the Stata program. Panel data used from 35 regencies/cities in Central Java in 2017-2019. The results showed that simultaneously all variables affect the welfare of the community. Partially, the number of tourists and the average length of stay of guests have a positive and significant effect.
