Abstract

Effective learning requires good planning. The learning method used in the learning process also requires good planning. Children's logical mathematical and scientific intelligence can be stimulated well by using experimental learning methods. The method can attract the interest and attention of children, demand it in a clearer presentation and make it easier for children to what is conveyed by educators. So that children's lack of mathematical logical intelligence and scientific intelligence can be overcome with experimental learning methods even though the teaching and learning process is carried out online due to the COVID-19 outbreak through the WhatsApp application. Thus there are three main focuses in this research: (1) experimental learning methods in the era of the covid-19 pandemic, (2) the effect of experimental learning methods on children's mathematical and scientific logical intelligence, and (3) implications of children's mathematical and scientific logical intelligence on early childhood development. This research is a qualitative research, the subjects in this study are the principal, teachers, parents and children. Methods of data collection using observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is data reduction, data presentation, conclusion and test the validity of the data. The results of this study are: (1) the experimental learning method iscarried out online in the era of the covid-19 pandemic, because this method is more effective, efficient, targeted, and concrete in proving the result; (2) the implementation of experimental learning to improve children‘s logical mathematical and scientific intelligence continuous to be carried out online trhough the whatsApp application in the from of video calls, voice massages, photos, video recordings and simulation during the covid-19 pandemic at RAPN Al-Hidayah Ujungbatu; (3) logical mathematical and scientific intelligence have implications for the development of cognitive, language, social emotional, physical motoric as well as moral and religious early chilhood.
