Abstract

Muhammadiyah is in the middle and continues to develop digital da'wah through digital platforms. One of the steps taken by Muhammadiyah in digital da'wah is by cooperating with autonomous organizations under it, one of which is the Muhammadiyah Student Association. In the Muhammadiyah Student Association organization, especially in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, there is a "Digital Da'wah" program that aims to help spread Muhammadiyah propaganda through digital platforms. This study aims to determine the extent of the performance carried out by the Muhammadiyah Student Association in implementing the "Digital Da'wah" program among students in the Special Region of Yogyakarta and the role of the Muhammadiyah Student Association in supporting Muhammadiyah digital da'wah. This study uses the theory of Social Action proposed by Max Weber. This research is a type of descriptive qualitative research. Then this study used the data collection process through interviews with informants of several IPM leaders in the Muhammadiyah Student Association (IPM) throughout DIY and observations were used as primary data and literature studies were used as secondary data. The data processing technique uses data reduction and data analysis so as to then provide conclusions from the results of data analysis. The results of this research are the IPM digital da'wah performance driven by its activists is included in the classification of Value Oriented Rationality social actions according to Max Weber. This is due to the awareness that activists as the driving force of the IPM digital da'wah are part of the HDI. IPM's performance was also felt to be still not optimal in helping Muhammadiyah's digital da'wah. This is because there are still many teenagers/students who do not really understand about da'wah through digital platforms and still think that da'wah is only effective if it is done through face-to-face meetings, not through online media.
