Abstract
Manpower is part of human resources and the utilization of the workforce is certainly able to accelerate the process of development and economic growth in an area. One of the goals of economic development is to provide sufficient job opportunities to pursue labor growth faster than employment opportunity. Then this study aims to see how much employment is absorbed and to analyze how the influence of economic growth, education and district minimum wage on employment in Central Java Province in 2010-2019. This study uses quantitative method and secondary data type obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Central Java Province. This study also uses panel data regression with the best model approach is the Random Effect Model (REM). Based on the results of the t-test (partial test) to find out how much influence the independent variables have on the employment of districts/cities in Central Java Province, the estimation results of economic growth have a negative and insignificant effect on employment, education has a significant positive effect on employment, The district minimum wage has a positive and significant effect on employment. It can be seen based on the F test (simultaneous test) that together the variables of economic growth, education and the district minimum wage are on the absorption of labor in districts/cities in Central Java Province.
