Abstract

This studies to describe the influence of the use of TikTok application on addictive behavior. TikTok was originally designed as a platform for people to express their talent through a video, yet now it can be used for communication, entertainment, self-expression, and self-existence. Excessive use, on the other hand, might have negative consequences, one of which is addictive behavior. TikTok is thought to have an impact on addictive behaviour. The purpose of this study was to see how big the impact of TikTok on addictive behavior. This study applied quantitative method with questionnaires as the instrument for the data collection. The questionnaires were distributed to 155 members of a TIKTOKERS group on the Internet. With the help of IBM SPSS Statistic software version 20, the researcher used basic linear regression analysis to determine the impact level of using TikTok on addictive behavior. The results showed the use of tiktok application had a significant effect on addictive behavior with a significant value of 0.000 < 0.05 and The use of tiktok application has an effect of 41.7% on the behavior of addiction, it requires parental supervision and control.
