Abstract

The increasing behavior of online shopping is becoming a worrying problem and causing an increasing amount of plastic waste in Indonesia, which causes environmental damage. Efforts to reduce waste are carried out with plastic diet campaign. Campaigners organize these movements to provide understanding and change people's behavior to respect and support environmental sustainability.The study aims to examine the magnitude of the influence of plastic diet campaigns on online shopping behavior in Shopee E-Commerce using the theory (S-R) stimulus, response. The research method used is quantitative method. The data was collected using questionnaires distributed to the youth in a village of Gumiwang Village, totaling 52 samples of respondents.The results of this study showed that the response effect on respondents cognitive and affective levels after receiving the stimulus was proven by the sensitivity and attitude of respondents to the negative impact of excessive online shopping. The Independent X variable (the influence of plastic diet campaign exposure) contributed 56% to variable Y (online shopping behavior in Shopee E-Commerce), while other factors caused the remaining 44%. The result of the significance of 0.000 < 0.05 which indicates that H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted, the acquisition means that there is a significant influence between the exposure of plastic diet campaigns to online shopping behavior in Shopee E-Commerce.
