Abstract

The teaching media used during the science learning process, the subject matter of natural vegetative plant propagation. The teaching media used were less effective in improving student learning outcomes because they only used student thematic books provided by the school. This makes student learning outcomes reduced because the media used makes students easily bored so that learning is less effective.This development research aims to produce learning media, determine the feasibility of learning media, determine the effectiveness of digital-based smart board learning media using padlets in improving learning outcomes for class VI students at SD/MI. This research uses research and development methods (Research and Development). The design of this study uses the ADDIE model which consists of five stages, namely the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The data collection instruments for this research were the validation of media experts, material experts, teacher assessment, student responses and student pretest and posttest tests. The location of this research was conducted at MIS Tanjungsari 2 as a limited trial and MIS Kutajaya Panawangan District, as an extensive trial for Ciamis Regency. This research was conducted in class VI with 20 students. The results of this study indicate that media development produces a learning media product in the form of digital media, namely digital-based smart board learning media using padlets to improve learning outcomes for students of class VI SD/MI. At the feasibility stage of digital-based smart board media using padlets, media experts and material experts validated them. Media experts get 82.6% results and material experts get 89% results. Furthermore, the assessment by the teacher with a result of 97.5% and based on the results of the analysis of the responses of students with a limited trial obtained a value of 89% and a wide trial obtained a value of 96%, the two trials received a positive response from students so that the media was declared worthy of use. used in the teaching and learning process. The effectiveness of digital-based smart board learning media using padlets can be seen based on students' pre-test and post-test. The results of testing the effectiveness of using digital-based smart board learning media using padlets on student learning outcomes showed that as many as 2 students were in the low category, 5 students were in the medium category and 13 students were in the high category. Based on the normality test data carried out on the pretest and posttest data, it has a normal distribution, this is because the values obtained in the normality test are 0.088> 0.05 for the pretest and posttest results to obtain a value of 0.077> 0.05. Da in the paired sample t test obtained a significant value of 0.001, which means 0.001 <0.05, which means that the use of digital-based smart board media using padlets is effective in improving student learning outcomes in natural science learning materials for vegetative plant propagation. And in the N-gain test, the overall score obtained a result with a value of 0.6, which means that the use of learning media using digital-based smart board media is suitable for learning and has a moderate category. So that digital-based smart board learning media using padlets are effectively used to increase interest in student learning outcomes in the teaching and learning process for class VI at SD/MI Ciamis Regency.
