Abstract

Urban farming is a solution for the problems of urban land and the supply of independent family food needs, such as the success of Kampung Sayur Bausasran in encouraging community through farmer groups. One of the steps to develop urban farming programs is the expansion of farmer groups, but this is not easy to do. However, this did not happen in Kampung Sayur Bausasran, which actually succeeded in forming and empowering six farmer groups within it. Therefore, the purpose of this study describe the replication stages carried out by each farmer group in Kampung Sayur Bausasran. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a sociological approach. Data collection applied observation, interview, and documentation, and triangulation techniques were used to validate data obtained. Data analysis conveyed to interactive model – Miles, Huberman, and Saldana through the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research analysis related to the stages of replication of farmer groups carried out are: 1) group formation; 2) identification of needs; and 3) activity scheduling. The inhibiting factors in the farmer group replication stage are commitment and resources, while the supporting factors in the farmer group replication stage were 1) cooperation; 2) facilities and infrastructure; 3) human resource; 4) experienced members; 5) the Decision Letter; and 6) competition for assessing the Kampung Sayur program.
