Abstract

This study aims to determine the suitability of library collections at the Yogyakarta City Library and Archives Office with the Regulation of the Head of the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia Number 8 of 2017. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative with data collection methods using interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used in this study are Miles and Huberman, namely data reduction, data presentation and verification. The validity test of the data used in this study is a credibility test, namely by increasing persistence, triangulation, and membercheck. The results of this study show that there are four sub-indicators of collection, three sub-indicators are in accordance with the standard and one indicator has not met the standard. In the collection development policy, there four sub-indicators, three sub-indicators are in accordance with the standard and one sub-indicator is not in accordance with the standard. per capita collection, collection update, and the procurement of library materials have not been up to standard. Meanwhile, theprocessing and preservation of collections are in accordance with standards.
