Abstract

This social innovation research for accelerating the reduction of stunting is motivated by the high cases of stunting in Karanganom, Klaten. Despite the government's efforts to prevent stunting, the cases remained high in 2017, with a rate of 16.41% out of 3,066 toddlers, due to factors such as the community's lack of access to information, particularly regarding nutrition. Therefore, this issue needs to be addressed promptly, one of which is through the Kecantol Kamu Program (Online/Offline Karanganom Steady and Excellent Bride Class). This research aims to analyze the stages and forms of social innovation, as well as the impact of the Kecantol Kamu Program on reducing stunting in Karanganom, Klaten. The method used is descriptive qualitative, involving interviews, observations, and documentation. The research results show that (1) the Kecantol Kamu Program introduces social innovation through several stages, including the identification of stunting problems, finding solutions, testing, and collaboration with PLKB. This program is publicized through social media, newspapers, and websites, and successfully enhances the knowledge of prospective brides and grooms, leading to social change. The form of innovation includes the Elsimil application and support services, as well as counseling during the pre-marriage class, including pre-tests and post-tests to improve the literacy of prospective brides and grooms. (2) The impact includes preventing stunting; creating social cohesion between various related institutions, namely KUA Karanganom, Puskesmas Karanganom, PLKB Karanganom, Pokja PKK, Polsek Karanganom; improving the literacy of prospective brides and grooms; enhancing health and nutrition services; and ensuring the program's sustainability.
