Abstract
Differences have the potential to fracture the unity and cohesion present in a community. Such differences often give rise to issues or conflicts that require solutions and preventive measures for the future. One example of religious conflict is the disharmony that sometimes arises due to a lack of tolerance within the community. This research aims to explore how social interactions between religious communities in Sorowajan. This study employs descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques include interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis in this study involves reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study on social interactions between religious communities in the Sorowajan hamlet, specifically in the Nyadran tradition, reveal both associative and dissociative forms of social interaction. Associative forms include cooperation, accommodation, assimilation, and acculturation, while dissociative forms include competition and contravention. Additionally, factors such as imitation, suggestion, identification, and sympathy are also present.
