Abstract

Child abuse has increased in recent years. Based on data submitted by the head of the Sleman Regency P3AP2KB Office in 2023, there were 340 cases of violence against women and children in Sleman. with details of 87 female victims and 36 male victims. Therefore, many government agencies or organizations engaged in child protection have carried out an intervention with preventive services to prevent violence against children, one of which is the Puspaga Kesengsem Sleman Regency which implements the provision of interventions regarding the prevention and handling of violence against the community. The purpose of this study was to determine the forms of psychoeducation implementing preventive interventions of violence against children in the Puspaga Kesengsem Sleman Regency. The object of this research is the forms of psychoeducation carried out by Puspaga Kesengsem to prevent violence against children in Sleman district. This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of field research. Data collection methods are observation, interview and documentation. The results showed that the forms of psychoeducation as a preventive measure to prevent of violence against children in the Puspaga Kesengsem Sleman Regency consist of direct and indirect forms of psychoeducation. The provision of these services shows a positive impact towards an increase in understanding or behavior change towards children regarding violence, one of which is bullying in the school environment.
