Abstract

This research aims to determine, analyze and describe the relationship between parenting styles and religiosity and self-efficacy in final students at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. In achieving this goal, the research method used is a quantitative approach with an ex-post facto type of research using correlational studies. The research population is active students of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta with similar characteristics, namely the class of 2020, tak ing final assignment courses from the study program. which has been determined. The sample taken for this research consisted of 125 respondents out of 1,040, where the researchers took 10% of the number of each existing study program using a purposive sampling technique. The research instrument uses a Lik ert scale consisting of a parenting style scale of 27 items, a religiosity scale of 32 items, and a self-efficacy scale of 8 items. Data analysis used Spearman rank correlation analysis with the help of SPSS for Windows. Based on the test results, it was found that the significance coefficient value between parenting style and self-efficacy was 0.035<0.05 and r = - 0.188. This value shows that there is a negative correlation, which means that when parenting style increases, self-efficacy decreases and vice versa, if parenting style decreases, then self-efficacy decreases. increased self-efficacy. This is because the items in the authoritarian and permissive parenting style instruments are more dominant than democratic parenting patterns. The significance coefficient value between religiosity and selfefficacy is 0.000<0.05 and r = 0.319. This value indicates a positive correlation, which means that when religiosity increases, self-efficacy increases and conversely, if religiosity decreases, self -efficacy also decreases
