Abstract

The development of the tourism industry is part of national development. The development of the tourism sector has the potential to increase the country's economy, which is carried out by the community and the government. One of the efforts in this regard is POKDARWIS in developing the tourism sector in Gamplong Village. This research aims to describe the organizational strategy and the results obtained from the organizational strategy of the tourism awareness group (POKDARWIS) in the development of tourism in Gamplong Village, Moyudan District, Sleman Regency. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach, and the theories used are theories about development strategies and community-based tourism. Data collection was done through observation, interviews, and documentation, and data validity used triangulation. The research results show that in the organizational strategy of POKDARWIS in developing Gamplong Village, several strategies were employed. The steps of the POKDARWIS strategy in developing Gamplong Village are as follows: (1) Enterprise Strategy, (2) Corporate Strategy, (3) Business Strategy, (4) Functional Strategy. Several results were also found from the strategies implemented by POKDARWIS, including: (1) Increased income in Gamplong Village, (2) Increased tourists, (3) Improved and maintained facilities, infrastructure, and amenities.
