Abstract

This study implements the application of bandwidth throttling to optimize download bandwidth at Cafe Hanggar. By using Mikhmon software, this research focuses on managing networks that use Mikrotik devices. This approach aims to increase the efficiency of bandwidth usage so that all users get stable and fast internet access. At Cafe Hanggar, internet connection instability often occurs due to uncontrolled bandwidth usage. To overcome this problem, a bandwidth throttling technique is applied which limits the downstream speed of each user. Mikhmon as a management tool provides easier and more structured control in implementing this policy. The results of this study show that the use of bandwidth throttling with Mikhmon on Mikrotik successfully divides the bandwidth speed. Users get a more even and fair bandwidth distribution at Cafe Hanggar. This implementation is an effective solution for network management that often experiences overload.
