Abstract

This study aims to determine the information literacy teacher at SMK Negeri 5 Yogyakarta by the Big6 model in terms of formulating a problem, finding the source of information, find and access information, use that information, synthesize information, and evaluate information. This research is descriptive quantitative research, the study subjects were SMK Negeri 5 Yogyakarta and the object of the research is information literacy. The population in this study were teachers of SMK Negeri 5 Yogyakarta much as 124 teachers, with the number of samples assigned 55 teachers. Sampling is done by incidental sampling method. Based on the processed data can be known that the information literacy teacher at SMK Negeri 5 Yogyakarta classified in either category with the Grand Mean of (3.14). The results of this research are information literacy teachers in formulating the problem is categorized very well with the Grand Mean (3.42). Finding the source of information is categorized very well with the Grand Mean (3.44). Finding and accessing information is categorized as either a Grand Mean (3.09). Utilizing information categorized either by Grand Mean (3.17). Synthesize information categorized either by Grand Mean (2.82). In terms of evaluating the information categorized either by Grand Mean (2.94). For SMK Negeri 5 Yogyakarta needed a policy related to the process of teaching and learning activities are oriented to learning to apply the principles of information literacy in Learning Implementation Plan.
