Abstract
This article attempts to discuss riots in some big cities in Indonesia, e.g. Yogyakarta, Ambon, Jakarta and Bandarlampung. The riots forgetted our social livings such as social ethic, moral ethic and cultural ethic. It can be said that there are some social backgrounds underlying those social disasters. One of which is a dynamic of structural education oriented to centralized education. This backrounds are involved in a complicated system and each of them often produces conflicting interest People tend to utilize potent technology to satisfy human wants and needs. To avoid more serious environmental problems which can endanger the existence of humanity in Indonesia, we need to change people's attitudes from exploitation and dominance to global protection and care.
