Abstract

This study aims to reveal the typology of procrastination in writing his thesis conducted in the last semester students Prodi Psychology Kalijaga Yogyakarta UIN Sunan. Procrastination is done by the students expressed the fears felt by prokrastiator and the factors that cause and the perceived impact on students. Methods research is guided by the researcher interview, observation, and documentation. For the validity of the data the researcher used triangulation, where data will be collected from a variety of sources including interviews, observations, and documents. Similarly, when researchers mengcross-check questions on the subject of siginificant others (to a friend, girlfriend, sister adan informants). RESULTS: Typology known as procrastination, fear of failure, fear of success, fear of attachment, fear of separation, and support from others. Factors that the psychology student procrastination at UIN Sunan Kalidjaga, the conscious decision to delay so do activities outside the lecture. Interest in the social world is like working on an NGO and the Institute of Psychology, and prioritize activities related to boarding school. Lack of self-management, lack of communication with the thesis supervisor. Can not focus in the thesis work, often come home and not find a solution to the barriers obtained in the thesis work. The presence of impacts due to procrastination conducted informant, which delayed the completion of the thesis so it does not go paper was doing. Lack of credits (semester credit system) to meet the requirements of the theory of free, look for motivation from others. Impact on other tasks that must be completed simultaneously. Stopping other activities in addition to the completion of thesis.
