%X The research on this manuscript digitization policy aims to determine the
policies of digitizing ancient manuscripts, knowing the workflow process of
digitizing old texts, identify the obstacles in digitizing ancient manuscripts in the
library of the State Museum Sonobudoyo Yogyakarta. This study used a
qualitative descriptive method. Methods of collecting data using interviews,
observation, and documentation. To analyze the data based on the theory of Miles
and Huberman in three steps (1) Reduction of data; focusing on the theme of the
research, (2) The presentation of data; explained based on observations,
interviews, and documentation, and (3) Withdrawal of conclusion; concluded after
the analysis stage analysis is completed. While testing the validity of the data in
this study conducted in four ways, namely: credibility, transferability,
dependability, and Confirmability. The results of this study concluded that the
policy of the State Museum of digitization in Yogyakarta Sonobudoyo sada oral
and written form contained in the SOP, standard operating procedures, letters of
agreement, the Act No.43 of 2007 on the Library, the Governor rule No.54 of
2008 and the Law Act No.75 of 2008 concerning the processing procedures and
development of cultural heritage area and objects of cultural heritage. It is used as
a guideline in the digitization process workflow in digitization activities in the
State Museum of ancient manuscripts Sonobudoyo Yogyakarta who are currently
taking from various sources, both from institutions and museum digitization
process by way of collection, data collection, scan, edit, and storage. Obstacles
encountered in the Library Museum Negari Sonobudoyo Yogyakarta is still a lack
of human resources, equipment used and the time is very limited.
