        abstract = {PT. Galangprees Media Utama is a book publishing company that has eleven
publishers who joined in. There is a lot of manuscript that goes into publishing a book
every month, while meeting the manuscript assessment done once a week and the
process of assessment is still using the manual method. This has resulted in many
manuscript that had been held only because of the slow process of assessment books.
This makes the need for an application that is able to manage the values given by the
number of appraisers and generates recommendations to the publisher about the
feasibility of a manuscript for publication.

This study uses the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), in which the AHP is the
most widely used methods in solving problems are multicriteria. In the assessment of
the book there are six basic criteria used for consideration of the feasibility of a
manuscript for publication is the trend, the authors, competitors, segment of readers,
life cycle and the concept of the book presentation. The data has been entered value
will be managed and processed by the system using AHP method and produces
output (output) in the form of a total weight value of each manuscript are sorted from 
the weight of the total value of the highest to the lowest.

The results showed that a system built to provide the results of calculations according
to the results of calculations are done manually and the system is able to provide
advice on whether or not worthy of a book manuscript for publication based on the
total weight of the obtained values.
