A method for the removal waste of this pigment dye is an adsorption by chitosan. Several parameters adsorption were studied in this research include the effect of varying the concentration and the capacity adsorption of methylene blue in chitosan. Characterisation has been done using a by UV-VIS spectrophotometer in this research. The capacity of adsorption consider through interaction of adsorben and methylene blue variety 10 to 140 mg/L. However, in this research also have been done desorption of methylene blue using H2SO4 process (-release of the adsorbate from the adsorbent-). Desorption test by determinate the optimum concentration and contact time . The results showed that for the optimum desorption of methylene blue of H2SO4 is 3 M showed the highest desorpstion was found 93,6 % and contact time is 84,27 %. The optimum concentration of methylene blue diadsorp can be obtained at 120 mg/L. The adsorption of methylene blue isotherms is modelled according to Langmuir and Freundlich with show linear regression, where adsorption of R2 will follow the Freundlich isotherm pattern. Capacity of chitosan adsorption of methylene blue is 5,216 × 10-3 mol/L.
