"This experiment aims to aquire the magnetite nanoparticle by coprecipitation method\r\nand also increasing variation of Polyethylene Glycol (PEG) effect on magnetite\r\nnanoparticle’s crystal structure. Synthesis had been done by mixing natural sand with\r\nHCl as solvent and NaOH as a precipitant, while PEG 1000 and PEG 6000 is added\r\nas templates. The addition of each varied from 1:1, 1:2, and 1:3 with a solution of\r\niron salts in order to analyse its influence on the crystal structure of the sample\r\nformed. The magnetite nanoparticles resulted in the samples were characterized using\r\nX Ray Diffraction instrument to determine the phase formation and the size of the\r\ncrystals formed. Further it were scanned with Electron-microscope to determine the\r\nmorphology of the sample. From the characterization acknowledged that the\r\npercentage of the volume fraction of the sample were increased. Meanwhile\r\nmagnetite nanoparticle samples have a face-centered cubic structure, and the crystal\r\nfields are in accordance with the JCPDS (Joint Committee Powder Standart) no.19 –\r\n629 with crystal size less than 50 nm. The results showed that the addition of PEG\r\ncan increase the percentage of the volume fraction of magnetite nanoparticles and\r\ndoes not affect the crystal structure of magnetite nanoparticles.\r\n"^^ .
