abstract: This study aims to determine the relationship between emotional
intelligence and bullying behavior in class XI students majoring in office
administration (AP) 7 SMK Yogyakarta.
The subjects were students - SMK Negeri Yogyakarta XI 7 Department
administration office (AP) which amounts to 38 students. Data collection methods
used were the emotional intelligence scale and the scale of bullying behavior.
Data were analyzed by linear regression analysis techniques and product moment
correlation test.
The results showed that, there is a significant negative relationship
between emotional intelligence and bullying behavior in class XI students
majoring in office administration (AP) 7 SMK Yogyakarta, indicated by the
correlation coefficient r xy = -0.717 and p = 0.000, so the hypothesis is accepted.
The results showed that the negative relationship between emotional intelligence
and bullying behavior in class XI students majoring in marketing administration
(AP) 7 SMK Yogyakarta means that the higher the level of emotional intelligence
so the lower the bullying behavior on vocational students and vice versa, the
lower the level of emotional intelligence, the higher the level of bullying behavior
on vocational students.
