abstract: This researchaims to determine therelationshipbetweenpersonality of Ihsanandbehavioral
tendencies ofacademic cheating, andto analyze the influenceof personality traitsof
Ihsantowardsthe tendencyof academiccheatingbehavior. The sample ofthis research
are146students ofeducationalprogramsat UINSunanKalijagaYogyakarta. This
researchusesquantitative methodsand datas wererevealedby using a summated rating scale
andprocessedby usingSpearman correlation testand20 predictorsregressiontest technique.
The result of correlationtest showeda correlation coefficient of-0.365with a significance
levelof 0.000(p <0.05). This isclear thatthere is anegativerelationshipbetween Ihsan
personalityandbehavioral tendenciesofacademic cheating, ie,the higher thelevel
ofsubject's Ihsan personality, the lower thelevel ofacademiccheatingbehaviortendencies.
While thetestresults of20 predictors regressionanalysisshowedthat there
are4charactersthatgive the most effect to thetendency ofacademic cheatingbehaviorwitha
totaleffective contribution of28.4%, which isthe character ofconstancy(18%), the
charactermuru'ah(4.5%), patientcharacter(3.8%), andsincerecharacter(2%). It means that
character of Ihsan personality decreases the tendency to academic cheating behavior on
student education program UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta
